IEEE International Conference on Responsible Artificial Intelligence

The IEEE International Conference on Responsible Artificial Intelligence (IRAI) will be held in Melbourne, Australia from 3-5 September 2026. The conference venue is La Trobe University City Campus, Level 3, 360 Collins St, Melbourne.

IRAI 2026 is sponsored by the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES) and La Trobe University, Australia. The IEEE is the world’s largest technical professional organisation of more than 500,000 members, dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity.

The growing influence and impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across industry, society and the economy calls for increased global dialogue on responsible design, development, deployment, and responsible adoption, use and application. IRAI aims to bring together relevant stakeholders, academic researchers, industry leaders, practitioners, policymakers, and students, to present research innovations, debate research challenges, exchange knowledge and experiences, and foster collaboration on the diverse topics of Responsible AI. This conference aims to promote best practice and encourage the development of AI that prioritises technical performance, innovation, impact, alongside ethics, safety, security, transparency, fairness, and accountability. By fostering global collaboration and interdisciplinary exchange, IRAI seeks to drive real-world impact by influencing research, practice, and policy.
